Description:
Following up with CONFLUX (Time Traveller vol. 4) , "From West to East" (Time Traveller vol. 4.5) is the 2020 mid-year EP by wave Groove (Westley Ulit). Since the pandemic halted his travel plans to Japan, he decided to create this as a gift for friends that he couldn't catch up with in Japan. There are two sides to this release. The first half are solo productions and the second half are collaboration tracks with Yourself In Peace, re_, Black Jade, & m_boogs.

About wave Groove:
wave Groove (Westley Ulit) is a music producer from Los Angeles (San Fernando Valley). Starting from an MPC and an audio engineering background, over the years he's grew fond of learning the different cultures and styles of beats all over the world. wave Groove's sound can be described as blend of hip hop, electronic, and R&B. He joined Beat Cinema in 2016, a music collective based in Los Angeles, CA dedicated to beat music culure around the world. Beat Cinema has been, for him and many others in the beat community, a home to share new music and gather as comrades. His most notable project to date is his 'Time Traveller' beat tape series in which he describes as a collection of beats and productions that reminds him of who he was at the moment of time he created them.

Wave Groove：
Wave Grooveはサンフェルナンドバレー出身、現在はロサンゼルス在住のミュージックプロデューサー。
MPCとオーディオエンジニアリングをバックグラウンドから始め、長年にわたり彼は世界中のビートから様々なカルチャーやスタイルを学びました。Wave Groove彼自身のサウンドはヒップホップ、エレクトリック、そしてR&Bがブレンドされている。彼は2016年音楽活動の拠点をアメリカ、ロサンゼルスに置き、ネクストローエンドセオリーとの名高いパーティでもあり、現在最新のLAのビートミュージックカルチャーを象徴する、ミュージックコレクティブであるBEAT CINEMAに参加。現在はレジデンツとして活動している。
BEAT CINEMAは、Wave Grooveやビートコミュニティの他、多くの人々にとって、新しい音楽をシェアし、仲間として集まる非常に新しく刺激的な場所です。これまでの彼の最も注目すべきプロジェクトは、彼が作った瞬間の彼が誰であったかを思い出させる作品、”Time Traveller” ビートテープシリーズである。

今回のパンデミックが、彼の日本への旅行プランを中止させたので、日本で会えなかった友達へのプレゼントとして作った作品である。
このリリースには２サイドあり、前半はソロ作品、後半はLAのコンポーザーYourself In Peace、bu.re_、フィメールビートメイカーBlack Jade、そしてm_boogsとの、非常にバラエティーに富んだ豪華なコラボレーション作品である。
この作品を通してLAのビートシーンの今を、耳で、肌で、五感を研ぎ澄まし感じて欲しい作品。
